It is believed a Saab was travelling along Marshall Street when it crashed into a trailer, which was parked on the nature strip at 12.50am yesterday morning.
Wodonga Highway Patrol attended the scene and the driver, a Wodonga woman, 56, retuned a positive breath test.
She was taken back to Wodonga police station while the damaged vehicle was left at the crash scene.
The woman blew a reading of 0.185.
Her licence was immediately suspended.
Later that night about 7.45pm, police attended a service station in West Wodonga and discovered the same woman was driving the damaged Saab, which was missing its front left tyre.
The woman was again breath tested and blew 0.153.
She is expected be charged on summons with drink-driving, driving while suspended and driving an unsafe vehicle.
