A free show, Castles of Crates, has been organised with the assistance of the Albury Council.
It will feature a Border duo doing tricks as the sun sets on May 23.
Ruben Ingwersen and Zach Johnson will to show off the skills they learnt during their time with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus.
Zach, who has been part of the circus for 10 years, said the roof top was the perfect open urban space.
“We were up here one day and thought it would be a good place for a performance,” Zach said yesterday.
“It’s got a good vibe, the sunset is beautiful and we just want to perform.”
The pair’s previous performances included shows performed at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Ruben said they had done street shows and busking but wanted to try something different.
“The show is free and the idea behind it is we want more people to do things for personal enjoyment, not for money,” he said.
“It’s a down-to-earth physical performance and we want everyone to come along.”
Albury Council’s cultural development officer Narelle Vogel has been working with the pair to bring the show to life.
“We’re talk about activating spaces and that’s what these guys are helping us do,” she said.
“They are wanting to make sure the audience doesn’t have to pay as well — that’s their philosophy behind it which we think is fantastic.
“It’s a beautiful space up there and when we have really creative people like these guys, we will do our best to make sure it happens.
“They are local circus gradates — how fabulous and how lucky is Albury, really?
“I hope it that this performance inspires professional creative people with ideas to come and put them forward.”
The event will start at 7pm on May 23.
More information on the performance can be found at the Castles of Crates Facebook page.
