In what is a UCL record for this season, Juventus were uninterrupted in possession for exactly one minute as they tore through Real Madrid's defence with class and ease to set up Alvaro Morata's eighth minute opener.
It was a superb display of fluid football as Juventus outclassed a star-studded Real Madrid side boasting Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale.
The slick passing move began with a Carlos Tevez interception inside his own half, and involved all but one outfield player, wide midfielder Stefano Sturaro.
The sweeping play went as deep as the edge of Juve's box, stretched Real Madrid's defence by bringing the play to both wings, before eventually creating an opening for the man who started the move.
Tevez received a clever pass into the box where he fired a low shot that was deflected by Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas into the path of Morata who applied a simple finish.
The remarkable goal set the tone of the match as Juventus' midfield proved too strong for last year's Champions League winners. The win puts the Italians in front in the race to this year's final in Berlin.
