However, I don’t necessarily agree that the Albury Tigers are rorting the system because there is no system, it’s anything goes when it comes to sponsorship and recruiting in the Ovens and Murray League.
I have always admired Jason as a great sportsman and stalwart of the game; the guy’s won AFL premierships off his own boot, but Albury Tigers have undoubtedly built themselves on hard work and harder training, simple as that.
We need a yardstick and a top dog to aspire to, as does every sport, so it might as well be them.
As to the Tigers being virtually unbeatable, well my team (the Raiders) recently got within 10 points of them and have beaten them in recent seasons even from the bottom of the ladder.
So like every sport, it all boils down to determination I suppose.
And yes, thanks for staying with the O&M Jason. Amid all this chaos we definitely need passionate blokes like you around.
