What about a bagwich, a mix between a sandwich and a baguette?
Albury’s newest takeaway coffee window in AMP Lane is aiming to bring a new vibe to the city when it opens in the former Simply Fed location.
Boom Boom, which will become a wine bar by night, is the brainchild of Albury couple Matt Carrington and Liv Risbey.
The couple purchased the store two months ago and have gutted and renovated the space to make way for a wine bar next to the coffee window.
“We are both originally from Albury and moved back here from Melbourne to do this,” Mr Carrington said.
“We could see a market for a wine bar here and coffee always sells well.”
They will use coffee from renowned Melbourne roasters Proud Mary.
A petite kitchenette will offer homemade sourdough bread created by their chef, Jes Myers.
The coffee window will be open from 6.30am Monday to Saturday until mid-afternoon, while the wine bar will be open at night from Wednesday to Sunday.
The wine bar will specialise in gin, whiskey and boutique beers and is expected to open in mid-July.
The coffee window grand opening will be on Saturday.
