Whisky, fencing and internet to create 50 new jobs for Border

Member for Albury Greg Aplin announced the funding on Thursday morning under the Murray-Darling Basin Regional Economic Diversification Program.
The three projects include:
- Corowa Whisky and Chocolate will create 25 new jobs through the establishment of a new distillery for the production of organic whisky from Riverina barley.
- Frauenfelder Rural Manufacturing will create 9 new jobs through the purchase of two new barb wire machines to help with the manufacture of fencing.
- Kotzur Pty Ltd and St Paul's Secondary College will create 21 new jobs for a prject that brings business grade internet services to Walla Walla, either through fibre optic cable or microwave technology.
Mr Aplin said 21 projects had received funding under the program altogether from a range of industries including manufacturing, aquaculture, cheese-making and grain processing.
