Big hitting of New Zealand cricketer Tim Southee has claimed another victim when a reporter copped a blow to the back during batting practice by the Black Caps at Lord's on Wednesday.

Southee, better known as a fast bowler, rushed over to check on the health of Melinda Farrell, who was delivering a report for ESPNcricinfo with her back to the action.
"I saw you duck and I thought, 'Oh no.' I thought it might have hit you in the head," a concerned Southee said, adding that he had been "mucking around".
Farrell put on a brave face when she realised a heavy bruise was imminent and said: "I'll wear it with pride. I'll wear it as a badge of honour."
"It's lucky it's cold and you've got a jacket on," Southee said.
New Zealand take on England in the first Test starting at Lord's on Thursday.
