Cardinal Pell is alleged to have been involved in moving a known paedophile, ignoring a victim’s complaint and bribery.
He has strongly denied being involved in an alleged cover-up within the Catholic church and claims he had tried to bribe a victim to keep quiet.
Cardinal Pell, now finance chief at the Vatican, says he had already addressed many of the claims in a Victorian parliamentary inquiry in 2013
But it seems another denial on the part of Cardinal Pell will not quieten the claims continuing to be made against him.
Royal commission chair Justice Peter McClellan says Cardinal Pell will be required to respond to the allegations made by two witnesses on Wednesday.
Cardinal Pell should offer to appear before the royal commission in its final hearings to respond to any claims made against his management of priests and his response to complaints made by individuals to allow the full story from this abhorrent period to be heard.
