Jake Kermond, 19, was holidaying in the resort town of Whistler, British Columbia, when he was last seen in a hotel lobby on April 26.
Hotel staff reported the keen snow skier missing four days later when he failed to check out of his room.
Family members still have not heard from him.
His mother, Natalie Raymond, has been too distressed to talk about the matter, other than say she had not heard from her son.
“We haven’t heard anything,” she said.
“There’s no news yet.”
Mr Kermond had worked at the Snowline Hotel to save money for the Canada trip.
He graduated from Bright P-12 College last year and had attended Marian College in Myrtleford and Harrietville Primary School.
