Wallace has played in the Bulldogs’ eight matches this season in a strong comeback after breaking his leg last year.
“Wallace is an outstanding young man,” Bushrangers coach Darren Ogier said.
“He’s strong at the contest, has clean hands and deserves his opportunity.”
With Will Brodie, Jy Simpkin and Josh Schache unavailable due to Victorian Country commitments, and Fletcher Carroll and Luke Smith on the injured list, Louis Pinnuck, David Mennen and Ryley Sharp have also been added to the team.
The Bushrangers, who are chasing their fifth successive win, will be keen to bounce back from an 18-point loss to the Rebels early in the season.
“North Ballarat are clearly one of the stronger teams in the competition,” Ogier said.
“They gave us a real lesson in intensity and workrate earlier in the season.
“We feel we have improved since then and look forward to our leaders really stepping up to the mark this week.
“Players such as Dylan McDonald, Shaun Mannagh, Jake Marshall and Murray Waite will be relied on to ensure we prepare professionally and start the game with an appetite for the contest.”
