WODONGA ratepayers who funded a $13,600 trip to Korea for the city’s chief executive and a councillor are no closer to learning anything about it.

Eight months after Patience Harrington and Cr Lisa Mahood attended the World Enterprise Forum in Seoul last October, a report on their attendance is yet to be tabled.
It adds insult to injury to ratepayers after an initial report by Ms Harrington was found to be almost entirely plagiarised, and Cr Mahood still has not made any comment at all about the trip.
A legitimate report on the business-class trip was promised two months ago but has not been forthcoming.
Ms Harrington has responded that the issue has been discussed with councillors, and that “we have already been implementing these principles across the organisation”.
Still, no insight for the ratepayer there.
One can only wonder how it is that Ms Harrington or Cr Mahood could now be in a position to clearly recall their observations so long after the event.
It may have been ratepayer money well spent but nine months and one dodgy report later, we are still none the wiser.
