The long-time coach is putting 80 Cricket Albury-Wodonga Academy youngsters through their paces each week from as far away as Benalla, Wangaratta, Oaklands, Corowa and Holbrook.

The program has flourished since starting out with 40 players several years ago and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Shepherd will also hold a school holiday program at Major League in Albury next week.

Youngsters aged between nine and 14 are welcome to attend.
