With last week marking the halfway mark of the season, the Magpies are on a four-match losing streak and sit fifth on the ladder with a 1-7 record.
But the ladder may not be a true reflection of Border-Walwa’s potential.
For the past month the Magpies have been battling a crippling injury toll with versatile tall Craig Bosley, Brett Rice and Nick Novak all missing.
Now things could be picking up, with Holbrook recruit Mark Lazzarotto playing last week, while Carl Lewry could also be an inclusion against signing a clearance from Culcairn.
Magpies coach Tony Brennan was confident of notching their second win.
“We should have won last week and I’m confident we can bounce back against Corryong,” he said.
“We have been riddled with injuries for the past month, but we should regain quite a few players on Saturday.
“It has really tested our depth, but overall with such a young side, I’m rapt how they have been performing.
“We have been playing some exciting football in patches but just need to be more consistent.”
Federal looks to have too much class for Bullioh, and Cudgewa should have all the answers against Tumbarumba, despite the long trip.
