AN Albury taxi driver was threatened with a knife and demanded to hand over cash last night.

The driver, 62, picked a man up on Borella Road about 8.30pm Wednesday.
He was instructed to take the passenger to Lavington via Eastern Circuit.
When the pair reached Eastern Circuit, the passenger threatened the driver with the knife.
The driver refused to hand over the cash and a struggle between the pair began but the armed man ran from the vehicle.
The taxi driver was unharmed but paramedics arrived on scene and took him to hospital to be treated for shock.
Police are appealing for any information about the hold-up and believe the passenger is about 18-years-old, Caucasian, slim, 175 to 180 centimetres tall and wearing a red hooded jumper, dark cap and black jeans.
