The annual awards recognise excellence in tourism in the four regional tourism areas of Central, Inland, Murray and Riverina.
There are a record number of finalists (51) competing in 19 categories across the four inland tourism regions.
Quality Hotel on Olive owner Wendy Lester said there would be some tough competition, but it was great to be recognised as a finalist.
“It means we are achieve our targets in the boutique market,” she said.
The hotel won last year in the deluxe accommodation category, which it is also a finalist this year.
Mrs Lester said a second win would elevate the business to a higher platform.
Other finalists include Greater Hume Visitor Information Centre, Woomargama’s Flyfaire Wines Cellar Door and Cafe, BIG4 Deniliquin, Yarrawonga’s Rich Glen Estate and Corowa’s Rivergum Holiday Retreat.
The awards provide tourism organisations and individuals the opportunity to gain an insight into their industry, their business, achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
Awards chairwoman Jane Barnes said as a key program on the regional tourism industry calendar, the awards had been credited for elevating regional tourism businesses to achieve state-wide and national acclaim.
Last year many winners from the inland awards gained finalist status at the NSW Tourism Awards.
