V8 Supercars’ only centurion Craig Lowndes is no doubt an evergreen in the sport. Currently sitting second in the championship standings, Lowndes has his eyes set on winning a long-awaited fourth title and he feels the longer race format at this weekend’s Townsville 400 should suit the Triple Eight Race Engineering squad.
On the other side of the garage Jamie Whincup has endured what has been his most challenging period in recent years. The six-time champ knows that Townsville will need to be mistake-free from all involved.
