Leeton jockey John Kissick scores a comfortable victory aboard Bianexpress ($7) to hand hometown trainer Geoff Duryea a win at Corowa yesterday. Bianexpress was resuming from a 28-week spell and broke through for his first career win from his ninth start. The four-year-old led throughout to score by 2½ lengths from Swanhilde ($21) and Great Panace ($31).

BOTH the Southern District jockey and trainers premierships remain in the balance after yesterday’s meeting at Corowa.
Before yesterday, Simon Miller and Nick Souquet headed the jockey title on 30 wins, with John Kissick in hot pursuit one win behind.
Wagga jockey Andy Bloomfield was also in contention on 26.
The Corowa meeting failed to shed any significant light on the title race after Kissick (Bianexpress), Souquet (I Am Bacchus) and Miller (Staretto) all landed winners.
Kissick also finished with three minor placings and Souquet two.
Despite having a full book of rides, Bloomfield failed to add to his tally.
The trainer’s premiership remains just as clouded.
Heading into yesterday’s meeting, Trevor Sutherland (26) held a slender lead of one over fellow Wagga trainer Chris Heywood.
Brett Cavanough sat third with 20½ wins.
Although the trio had multiple runners, all three missed out on training a winner.
The premiership battle will resume at Wagga on Friday before the final two meetings of the season at Narrandera on July 19 and Wagga on July 24.
