The match was abandoned at three-quarter time with the Swampies leading by 17 points and kicking with a strong breeze in the final stanza.
Henty coach Josh Gaynor said it was bizarre circumstances after the Swampies’ match the previous week was also abandoned in the final quarter after Brent Piltz suffered a broken leg.
“Drama seems to be following us around a bit lately,” Gaynor said.
“Unlike last week, we were lucky we were in front this time.
“There was heavy rain for the majority of the second and third quarters.
“A heavy hailstorm hit at the three quarter-time huddle, which stung a bit when it hit you in the head.
“We went out to our positions for the last quarter and lightning strikes started to hit really close by, so the umpires told everyone to get off the ground.
“The match was abandoned after we waited half an hour and the lightning strikes hadn’t subsided.”
Only seven goals were kicked in the first three quarters in the tough conditions.
The Swampies welcomed back key position players Harrison Macreadie (NSW-ACT Rams) and Shannon Terlich (shoulder) in a major boost.
Jindera thumped a disappointing Walla by 105 points with Zac Stuart and Toby Ryan dominant in the whitewash.
Osborne missed out on some valuable percentage after kicking a terrible 8.22 (70) in their 57-point win over Billabong Crows, who managed just three scoring shots in their 2.1 (13).
