The lion-hearted bench player has been a consistent, hard-working presence since breaking into the Bandits squad in 2012.
Bandits coach Brad Chalmers said McKay’s milestone was a just reward for the 22-year-old’s work ethic.
“It’s taken a little while but he’s got there,” Chalmers said.
“He works hard, does all the little things and knows his role.”
The 196-centimetre back-up enjoyed his best performance in the 97-92 home triumph over Dandenong in round five, notching four points and three rebounds in extended minutes due to the absence of injured star import Donte Nicholas.
