Dam levels are Hume 35% and Dartmouth 72% – they are now on page 2 of The Border Mail every day.
LAKE HUME: Were you successful this week? Andy (pictured above) was – and what a nice trout he got.
A lot of the fishos around Ludlows have been getting yellowbelly on lures, with one getting six in a day, while Allen got a nice 6lb-er under the Bethanga Bridge. Some good redfin were also caught.
This week I attended the North East Vic Carp Conference at La Trobe University and heard Dr John Koehn and Paul Brown provide the latest information on carp, their control, and the biological control herptovirus.
This project is supported by North East CMA through funding from the Australian and Victorian governments and Landcare.
KIEWA & MITTA RIVERS: If you are getting your lures in the big holes at the Albury end of the two rivers you might get a nice cod – the big worms are the go.
LAKE DARTMOUTH: You don’t have to go far for a nice feed of trout, with a lot caught in 10-15 feet and trolling across the wall with tassies and baits, while you can also get them down as far as 30 to 50 feet.
