Elliott, 23, turned in a 5-under 66 to get to 11-under 131, as she looks to record her first professional win.
It would be the first Aussie win on the Symetra Tour since Julia Boland in 2012.
“Obviously it would be awesome to get a win under the belt,” Elliott said.
“Especially since I’m playing away from home, it would mean a lot to show people that I am taking my game to the next level.”
Elliott stepped on the 18th tee in a share of the lead and landed her tee shot on the par-3 pin high and inches from the fringe.
“I wasn’t pulling the trigger today and I was leaving putts short so I gave that last putt a little extra,” she said.
“That was a nice way to finish.
“My whole season has kind of led up to the last couple of weeks.”
Elliott also got a boost of confidence two weeks ago when she played in the U.S. Women’s Open and played practice rounds with Karrie Webb, Michelle Wie and Stacey Lewis.
She still sports the green hair dye she adopted at the major.
“Watching them play, I saw that they were all aggressive,”she said.
“I feel like my game is there and I need to go for it instead of playing defensive golf like I have in the past. Players like Karrie that just go for it.”
