At the time, Kennedy was on parole which expires on September 2, 2016, for a reckless wounding matter.
Kennedy knew his parole would be revoked and did his utmost to avoid police.
He managed to escape from them after being Tasered on May 26 and days later tried to elude officers driving a car in Glenroy.
It turned out to be third time unlucky and Kennedy was arrested after a foot pursuit by police.
He has been remanded in custody since and appeared in Albury Local Court for sentencing on three series of charges including failing to stop in a police pursuit and never having held a driver’s licence.
There were charges of assaulting police, resisting arrest, intimidation and escaping from custody over the failed arrest bid with the taser.
Solicitor Kate Bleasel said Kennedy’s offences stemmed from him trying to avoid going back into custody.
Magistrate Tony Murray said Kennedy committed a variety of offences and all were exacerbated by him being on parole.
Mr Murray imposed fines and jail terms with Kennedy having to serve a minimum of seven months which expires on New Year’s Day.
He was travelling in a taxi with a woman about 3.45am on May 26 when police stopped it in Pemberton Street.
An officer advised Kennedy that he was under arrest, but was kicked in the thigh by him.
Kennedy escaped from the taxi and fled across Bonnie Doon Park with the officer chasing him.
He reached into a jacket pocket, turned around and said he had a gun as the officer tripped and dropped his flash light.
The officer lost sight of Kennedy, but kept going and saw him hiding in a bush.
When the officer took out his Taser, Kennedy reached into the front pocket of his hoodie and repeated the claim about having a gun.
The Taser was discharged and Kennedy was initially affected by it, but rolled around on the ground and managed to dislodge one of the barbs.
The officer was reloading the Taser when Kennedy jumped a fence and escaped.
He was seen driving in Glenroy about 4.35pm on June 1 and was arrested after a short pursuit.
Mr Murray disqualified Kennedy from driving for three years.
