Dam levels – Lake Hume 36%; Lake Dartmouth 72%.
Lake Hume: Have a look at the photo this week! That’s a whopping 10lb brown trout caught by Jason Boyd. Some more good trout were caught again this week, with some going in to win the “6lb and over Trout Trophy". Some fishos got nice eating trout between 2 to 4lb, while yellowbelly have been caught on baits and lures. You can get a good feed of redfin, but you have to look for them.

Lake Eildon: The fishos have been getting some nice cod and trout around the lake trolling with lures and baits. But you can get a nice big trout fishing from the banks at the pondage as it has just been stocked with 200 ex-brood trout (100 2.5kg browns and 100 2kg rainbows), as well as 1000 advanced rainbow trout. The pondage is open all year and isn’t subject to the annual closed season.
Lake Dartmouth: I just enjoyed a nice eating trout from the lake - the fishos are still getting a feed. Those trolling across the wall in 10 to 20 feet are picking up nice fish, and you can also get them deeper. If you want a bigger one, head down 30 to 50 feet or troll with lures and baits, which should get you a fish to take home.
Kids, i need two more photos for the kids’ photo trophy. Photos for that and the “6lb and over Trout Trophy" must be emailed to thehook@southernphone.com.au
Text or phone 0450 281 845 or email photos for The Border Mail to thehook@southernphone.com.au.
Have a good day fishing.
