That’s the opinion of Wodonga ruckman Matt Seiter, who had front-row seats to the Tiger show on Saturday at the Albury Sportsground.

Seiter said O’Hara could have an advantage because he’s a goal-kicking midfielder, who leads the Doug Strang Medal with 47 goals.

“O’Hara might win it (the Morris Medal) because he kicks a lot of goals, but I don’t know if they’ll take votes off each other,” Seiter said.

“That wasn’t Dean’s type of day (in the wet on Saturday) and he was really good.

“He killed us last time as well and from all reports he will go close to win it, O’Hara as well.”

Albury has named Polo in its best players on 10 occasions, and O’Hara nine times.

O’Hara was a white-hot favourite to win the Morris Medal last season, but received just 11 votes and finished behind teammates Chris Hyde (16 votes), Joel Mackie (14) and Polo (12).

But he won Albury’s best-and-fairest award in its premiership year, ahead of runner-up Polo. 

Myrtleford’s Kristan Height showed you didn’t have to play for a top team to win the Morris Medal last year.

He polled 26 votes, to finish well ahead of Lavington’s Matt Pendergast (18), Yarrawonga’s Brandon Symes (17) and Wangaratta’s Matt Grossman (17).

Polo, O’Hara and Mackie starred again on Saturday, leading the Tigers to a 41-point win over Wodonga.

And Seiter doubts anyone will get near the unbeaten Tigers, who are aiming for their fifth flag in seven seasons.

“I don’t think anyone will beat them,” Seiter said.

“Lavi can get near them, but Albury would have to have a bad day and Lavi would have to have a good day.

“They just find a way to win by heaps and they’ve got a lot of polish.

“They’ve got a good balance of outside and inside players.

“They’ve got their stars, but even their bottom six players are quality O and M players.”

Albury travels to Lavington after the split round.

The Panthers were the only team to beat Albury last year, and should have got the chocolates in round seven this season.
