The truck, owned by the Toll Group, was parked at Sarge’s Bulk Haulage on Moloney Drive and combusted about 7pm.
It took Wodonga firefighters about half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
Detectives were investigating the cause on Monday, amongst the pink batt insulin strewn through the depot.
Detective Senior Constable Ray Causer said it was unknown whether the fire was suspicious.
“It’s odd because a truck just doesn’t catch on fire on its own,” he said.
Sarge’s Bulk Haulage’s Julie Davis said this was a rare incident.
“It’s not something that happens everyday,” she said.
“Nothing like this has happened in over 12 years.”
Anybody with information about the fire should phone Wodonga police on (02) 6049 2600 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
