The win sees them leapfrog Wodonga into the finals, after holding a 2-1 lead for the entire second half against the in-form Falcons.
Clever play from Cory Norie and Oscar Smart had the Wombats pair on the scoreboard before halftime, alongside Falcons star Charley Wallace.
The Wombats defence was rock solid in the second half, allowing them to run away with an upset.
In other matches, the Magpies easily accounted for Norths, and United emerged victorious from a close encounter with an inspired Wodonga, 1-0.
