Only Tyson Smith, Luke Fraser and Andrew Wood are still in the side which defeated Beechworth by 25 points in the premiership decider.
“It’s been a while so it’s an exciting time for the footy club,” Hopper coach Zac Fulford said yesterday.
“Only a few of the playing group are still around.
“It’s a great opportunity and really is what you play for.”
Tallangatta, who is set to regain tough midfielder Ben Heinrich from injury, will run into a Thurgoona side chock full of confidence.
The Bulldogs turned in arguably their best performance of the season to steamroll Yackandandah last weekend.

“They kicked a healthy score last week and have a couple of quality players back from when we played earlier in the year.
“We know we will have to play really well.”
