But nerves haven't reared their head for the Bandits captain, who says it's simply time to be out on the court.
“We're ready,” Watson said.
“The last fortnight we've done what we've needed to do at training, focused on quality, not quantity.
“We're confident, but we're not cocky.”
The veteran point guard knows he and fellow stalwart Matt de Koeyer will need to once again fill the shoes of the injured Daniel Sepokas, but after a strong performance in the semi-final, is confident the experienced duo have got the goods.
“Wes (de Koeyer) isn't scared to take the big shots, he's done it before and can do it again,” he said.
“Missing Dan (Sepokas) hurts, but his influence on the bench has been great.
“He'll help out Matt and myself with little things he notices during the week or during the game, his presence is really important.”
