ALBURY’S Josh Briant is brimming with confidence for the summer after dominating at the Asian Australasian and Oceania Water Ski Championships in Korea.
Josh and his sister, Michale, were part of the six-member Australian team who competed against the best skiers from China, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia and Korea.
Josh finished second overall in the open men’s competition after grabbing second spot in the tricks and third place in the slalom and jumps events.
Michale, who is studying biochemistry and molecular biology at Rollins College in Florida, took out the open women’s slalom and tricks in Korea.
She will return to Australia to compete in the Australian Masters, Australian Open, Moomba Masters and the national titles.
Michale will also help Josh train for the world junior championships at Mulwala from February 20 to 24.
