The award caps off what has thus far been a stellar season for the Pigeons centre, who was also selected in the Ovens and Murray interleague team.
Sunday’s grand final against Wodonga is now the only thing standing in the way of Bourke and a near flawless season.
Bourke polled votes in 12 of a possible 18 rounds, which included six best on court performances.
Medal in hand, Bourke said the real challenge would come this Sunday against the Bulldogs.
“It's great to win something like this, but I'd give it all away for a premiership on Sunday,” Bourke said.
“I started in the C Grade many years ago with Yarrawonga and was lucky enough to get a few premierships in that time, and I really want to add another one.”
Bourke paid tribute to her late mother.
“Mum would be very proud,” Bourke said.
“She was 100 percent behind netball and 100 percent behind us girls.
“She loved everything about the game and she loved everything about the Pigeons.”
In the B-Grade count, North Albury’s Tamika Wholohon finished just ahead of Lavington’s Jamie Sandilands and Wodonga’s Sarah Walker.
Just three votes separated the trio, with Wholohon finishing two votes ahead of Sandilands with a total of 24.
Unfortunately for the Hoppers, Wholohon is unavailable for the grand final against Yarrawonga, but said she would be cheering from the sidelines.
“I'll be on the bench doing my best to help the girls, pointing out what the defence is doing and giving them advice,” she said.
“I have confidence in them.”
North Albury graced the stage again in the C-Grade, with Molly Goldsworthy the clear winner with 31 votes, nine more than her nearest rivals Gemma Coburn (Lavington) and Melanie Scatchard (Wodonga), who each polled 22 votes for an equal-second finish.
It was a tight finish in the under-16 count, but Wodonga’s Jessica Miles did enough to finish one vote ahead of Albury’s Caitlyn Gerecke and North Albury’s Grace Senior.
