Captured in June, the photos depict the lake at one of its lowest points, just 30 per cent capacity.

Mr Taylor said flying in an aeroplane at 300 km/h meant planning was key.

“You have to plan the angle and the sort of photo you want,” he said.

“I have found my aerial photography is now a lot more considered in getting the shot I want.”

Mr Taylor said the pictures he captured would be an historical marker for the future.

“What you’rse seeing is man’s impact on the earth,” he said.

“You’re taking a history document for later years.”

Mr Taylor said the photos depicted the main feature of the exhibition, shadows.

“There will probably be about 20, and they were all taken late in the day,” he said.

He also said his aerial photography angle was more unique in capturing a scene.

“Mine is more abstract rather than landscape, the photos are taken looking down rather than across the landscape,” Mr Taylor said.

Livestock has dominated Mr Taylor's life, and he said being in the air allowed for a different perspective to others.

“Living with animals all my life I tend to see the quirky side of photography with them,” he said.

“I see things in livestock that others overlook and that gives me an advantage.”

The exhibition opens at the GIGS Gallery in Wodonga on November 3 and runs until November 30.
