A major rescue operation was launched after the crash, which occurred off the Mystic Hill launch site about 12pm Sunday.
The woman, aged in her 20s, fell about 20 metres and landed about 50 metres below the top of a hill.
She had to be taken from the area on a stretcher before being flown to hospital in Melbourne by air ambulance.
She also received leg and abdominal injuries.
