Following the success of its 25th anniversary program in 2014, the festival will unveil a new ticketed outdoor Gardens Stage in the idyllic King George Gardens and the Riverside Stage along Faithfull Street, overlooking the Ovens River.
There will be more than 300 musicians across 80 concerts on the main program and more than 16 concerts on the Riverside Precinct free stage across the four days and nights of the pre-Melbourne Cup Day long weekend – Friday, October 30, to Monday, November 2.
The free Reid Street stage, which showcased regional performers, will not operate this year.
A new ticketing structure will limit ticket sales to cater for venue capacity, and they are being snapped up fast.
Organisers have also introduced “local” three-day passes, available for residents in the following shires: Indigo, Benalla, Alpine, Towong, Wodonga, Albury, Moira, Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie, Mitchell, Murrindindi and Mansfield.
The $140 pass provides unlimited access to all shows including internationally renowned blues-rock band Canned Heat and Australia’s Thirsty Merc, which will perform acoustic sets.
Locals and visitors looking for a great value long weekend immersion can secure a Gold Pass, which offers unlimited access, guaranteed seating (and no queues), in the concert venues.
