Almost 300 year 11 and 12 students students from 22 schools attended the GRIP leadership conference at the Commercial Club to prepare for their leadership rolls.
GRIP managing director Ronan McGinniss said the purpose of the conference was to develop students as school and future leaders.
“We’ve come to realise the kind of leader a student will be in the future will be determined by how they embrace the role they’re given while in high school,” he said.
“From the conference, they will get ideas to put into practice and they can go into their new role with enthusiasm.”
