After bowing out in the preliminary final to Yarrawonga, Aughton said the club was keen to take another next step up the premiership table.
“We had a fantastic season and our goal is to keep going forward,” she said.
“Our plan is to work on our fitness and strength and take it from there.
“The girls are all looking forward to the season.”
Although Albury will be without key shooter Sarah Moore who is having a baby, it could be bolstered by the arrival of several recruits in coming weeks.
Aughton and Jenny Jones have been re-appointed as A grade and head coach respectively.
Teegan Dolling will oversee the under-16s.
Training started earlier this week with good numbers attending.
The club will hold selections on December 1 and 3 from 6pm at Albury Sportsground.
