SECURITY measures at Albury's airport car park are set to be reviewed after a vehicle was stolen and others had their windows smashed in an outburst of crime.

Inspector Scott Russell, of Albury police, said a patrolling security guard found eight vehicles with windows smashed about 3.30am on Monday.
A white Holden sedan stolen over the same period was found undamaged in Albury's Volt Lane car park on Wednesday morning, Inspector Russell said.
The malicious damage and theft follows several cars having their windows smashed and one being robbed of its wheels at the airport parking lot in January last year.
Mayor Henk van de Ven said it was disappointing to see such "wilful vandalism".
He said preventative measures, which already include CCTV, regular patrols by guards and illumination, would be reviewed.
"I think everything is on the table as far as trying to stop it," Cr van de Ven said.
"I'm happy to have discussions with airport staff to see if there are short-term low-cost options, otherwise we have to have discussions about what we do in the long term."
Hertz car rental Albury airport manager Bruce Robertson said he could see little the council could do boost security.
"I don't know what they could do, apart from putting a fence around the whole place," Mr Robertson said.
Cr van de Ven said there would be limitations with a fence enclosing the entire parking lot.
"We've got a secure area already out there, but obviously even if you have a fence there is nothing to stop someone driving into the car park and doing what they have to do and driving out again," Cr van de Ven said.
He said the best result in the long term was apprehending offenders and "somehow teaching them a lesson".
Mr Robertson said he suspected this week's vandals were "young kids looking for money".
The stolen car was believed to have had a spare key stored inside.
Inspector Russell said the crime upon the cars was "opportunistic" and he urged motorists to be cautious.
"Don't leave valuables in cars and obviously lock and secure your vehicle," Inspector Russell said.
"Don't leave important documentation in the car indicating any information which would be identifying."
