They do not say it, and never say it, but the agenda is to stop the farming of all animals.
Well that is never going to happen, so the issue will fester away and over the top claims will be made, challenging and threatening farmers who deeply care about the welfare of their animals.
However, in society there are those who should never have animals in their care. I believe we all acknowledge that.
Then, after all, we have people bashing and killing each other so we are always going to have to deal with issues that are just not on. Sadly many animals are treated badly the same as humans.
Falling stars
Oh how quickly your star can fall. Victorian premier Andrews rightly attracted praise for his government’s actions in making drought in some areas easier to deal with.
Then he messes it up by saying that the $20 million promised to Macalister irrigators to modernise their system will only happen if the LNP opposition allows the sale of the Port of Melbourne.
This has to be called a low act.
And one the Gippslanders are sure to remember at election time.
Wally
Wally of the week goes to ABC presenter Leigh Sales.
In rightly criticising parents who don’t immunise their children Ms Sales said the science was clear and those who ignored it are similar to those who deny the science of climate change.
Now wait a minute Ms Sales, science has provided immunisation as a cure so given the fact that climate change is, or has, occurred what is the now magic proven cure? For instance has it been scientifically proven that lowering carbon emissions will reverse given global warming?
Maybe she is in the same camp as the Greens who instead of an increased GST want a carbon tax to provide revenue and the environment is peripheral.
