But the Canberra-based sprint sensation says she’s unlikely to win it again next weekend at the Albury Sportsground due to handicapping.
The London Olympian won the Albury-Wodonga Gift in 2014 after giving front-marker, Celia Cosgriff, a 17m headstart over the 120m women’s sprint final.
“I think I will be handicapped out of it,” the 25-year-old said.
“That was one of my greatest achievements, winning the Albury Gift.
“I will be trying my best, let me assure you, (and) running off scratch is an honour.
“I’d much prefer to be at the back chasing someone down.”
Breen, who won her third national 100-metre title in March, has entered the Gift and the 70m.
Her grandfather, Ken Scholz, himself a gifted runner and former Albury footballer, will again be there to cheer her on.
“My granddad just turned 90 and I’m looking forward to coming back,” Breen said.
“It’s always a great thrill to come there and see a big family contingent.”
Breen enters the Albury meet in form, having recently finished second in the 100m final at Queanbeyan.
Breen failed to make the 120m Gift final, finishing third in her semi.
“I’ve had a solid two months of training and I’m fit and healthy,” she said.
“I’d love to get a berth in that final in Albury.”
