One of Albury's major licensed venues was labouring under a $10 million-plus debt when he was appointed to the top job.
Club president Eddie Dunlop said Mr Levesque's legacy at the time of his sudden passing on Wednesday was a clear direction forward for his successors to follow.
"Up until four years ago, all we were doing was working from month to month and for the first time we put a strategic plan in place," Mr Dunlop said.
"”His vision was that by 2020 this club would be debt free.
"He’s left us, but he put everything in place and trained our wonderful staff.
"He’s set the vision for Gerard Darmody and the team and we’ll work together to ensure it continues.
"Even though he’s gone, as far as this place is concerned, his memories, his legacy will stay forever."
