The teenage batsman has been playing with Leicestershire County Cricket Club and will bat in the top four in the two-day match at Wilson Oval.
Leicestershire is coached by Border product Andrew McDonald.
East Albury coach Andrew Wilkes said he was looking forward to seeing Kent in action, after he only arrived last weekend.
“He’s a top order bat and comes from the same club as Tom Wells,” Wilkes said.
“He’s had a few ankle injuries that have kept him at home but he’s been released by the physios.
“He’s similar style bat to Tom by the looks.
“Along with a lot of other clubs we’ve had imports for a while now and it’s always good to get a new face at the club and it’s Alex’s first trip overseas.”
But While Kent will make his debut, the Crows will be without Kris Milosta, who’s taken 10 wickets for the season.
Crows captain Cameron White is only available for the first day’s play.
Wilkes said East Albury would bowl first if it won the coin toss. “We’ve got a few unavailable, so that hurts a bit,” he said.
“It puts a fair emphasis on the toss.
“We’d bowl for sure if we win the toss.
“Most sides would look at this game as an outright opportunity.”
Left arm quick James Browning and young leg-spinning all-rounder Harrison Hunter return for the Crows, who still have hopes of playing finals.
They are winless and second bottom, but believe they can win enough games to qualify.
“If the next three games go our way we are still optimistic,” Wilkes said.
While East Albury and Raiders are at the bottom of the ladder, Belvoir is near the top.
The Eagles welcome back off-spinner Ryan McNeil and quick Matt Jaensch for their clash against St Patrick’s at Kelly Park.
Belvoir keeper Nat Sariman said it would be a good test for his title-chasing team.
“I think we’ve got one of our strongest sides for the year,” Sariman said.
“It’s going to be a really good test for us against St Pat’s.
“It’s a big opportunity for us against a side that’s been up for a long time.
“We want to go as deep as we can and to do that we need to beat sides like St Pat’s.”
Reigning premier Tallangatta is the one to catch in the run to the finals.
The Bushies travel to Albury, looking to extend their lead at the top.
Tallangatta made a whopping 7-320 against St Patrick’s in their last match before Christmas, with Trent Ball and James Weighell in fine touch with the bat.
Elsewhere, New City will look to get a big scalp when it hosts fourth-placed Lavington and third-placed North Albury hosts Wodonga.
