The 32-kilometre route included four rest stops at some of Rutherglen’s top wineries, where the 60 riders indulged in gourmet regional produce matched with local wines.
Their first stop was St Leonards about 9.15 Saturday morning.
Organiser Robert O’Reilly, from the Rutherglen Rotary Club, said fortunately all riders still seemed in control when they arrived three stops later at Cofield Wines.
“I think all had a jolly good time,” Mr O’Reilly said.
“We always follow with first-aid vehicles but this time nobody fell off their bikes or got a flat tyre.”
The tour, which also took in Valhalla and Pfeiffer Wines, was topped with an official dinner at the Victoria Hotel in Rutherglen on Saturday night.
Money raised will be donated towards Rutherglen Rotary’s community service projects.
