After being defeated at the buzzer by the Wodonga Wolves in last season's grand final, the two sides will face off again in Saturday night's CBL North East conference decider.
Wolves coach Troy Crawford says will need to replicate the intensity they brought to last year's decider if they are to be any chance of winning.
“It'll be a tough game, no doubt Seymour will be wanting to get one back on us after last year,” he said.
“They would have disappointed to lose that one after going through last year undefeated.
“We'll look to bring the same attitude we brought to last year's final.”
The Blasters are ranked as the best defensive side in the league, and number two in offence, ahead of the Wolves, ranked second and third respectively.
Crawford said the Wolves would be able to counter the bigger bodies of the Blasters.
“We really have to run, we have to use our athleticism to our advantage,” he said.
“We can run a little bit faster, jump a little bit higher than they can.
“We know them quite well, they've got some experienced guys in the side but I'm confident we can handle it.
“Hopefully playing on our home court will mean we get to enjoy the same atmosphere we did last year.
“It was absolutely electric, and I think this match could be exactly the same.”
Encouraged after a season-best performance against Bendigo last week, Crawford said the Wolves had the experience to win.
“The memory of last year's final will have an effect, they know they they can do it.”
Lady Wolves coach Paul Green was also optimistic about their chances against Bendigo, with co-captain Rachel Jeffrey slated to return after a near season-long injury.
The Lady Braves have had the better of the home side in both their previous meetings this season, but Green backed his young troops to turn it around.
“I think we have them covered in terms of talent, but they're an exceptionally well-coached and well-drilled side,” he said.
“We’ll try some new things in defence.
“The key for us will be to get scoreboard pressure on them as early as we can.
“We've been great offensively all year, but on both occasions against Bendigo we've shot poorly.
“If we can rectify that I think we're an excellent chance of winning.”
Tip-off is at 6pm on Saturday at the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre.
It'll be tough, Seymour will want to get one back on us after last year.
