Racegoers will have the opportunity to sample gourmet food and wine from some of the North East’s top producers on February 19.
Indie and acoustic musicians including Beechworth product Liv Cartledge, The Kite Machine, Benny Walker and Josh Cashman will also perform from under the race club’s elm trees.
Miller said the club was always looking to attract new crowds to race meetings.
“What the racing club is trying to do, is to evolve in terms of offering different entertainment and hospitality options,” he said.
“Craig Sheather, who’s on our committee, was instrumental in driving this idea.
“We’ve tied it into a race meeting so people can come and enjoy the races at the start of the day and then at the back end of the day the entertainment kicks in.
“For those who have to go to work and mightn’t be able to get out there too early on a Friday, they can still come out from 5pm and still have a few hours of entertainment.
“It’s the first time we have done an event like this and we are excited to be offering something different for a race meeting and also something unique to Albury as a social event.
“We have some of the best wineries and food vendors in the region and we’d like to showcase them in our venue.”

Miller said up to 30 varieties of wine would be on offer from Bullers, Campbells, Morris, All Saints, Sam Miranda and Brown Brothers wineries.
“One of the great things about the Albury Racing Club is the beautiful big elm trees and the setting we’ve got, which is perfect for this sort of thing,” he said.
“A lot of people might have sporting or family commitments on the weekend so hopefully they can bring the kids along and have a great Friday afternoon and evening.”
Miller said there would be an eight-race TAB program with the last race to finish about 6pm.
“It’s getting close to the Albury Gold Cup so the quality of racing will be pretty good as well,” he said.
Tickets are $20, which includes a wine glass, and entertainment will run from about 4pm-8.30pm.
