THE occasional smile broke out between tears on Thursday night as friends of Tom Wishart gathered to reflect on the memories he had left with them.

A donation bucket was passed around to show his wife, Emma, and their two children Layla, 3, and Ariana, 2 support was there for them.
Close family friend Tracey Delaney said they had been struggling to cover funeral costs.
"I've got over $2000 from last night which was amazing, I can't believe how generous everyone was," she said.
"I did a bit of an ask around and we will need between $5000 to $8000 for the funeral.
"It will take a whole heap of weight off their shoulders.
"Tom was a part of everyday with them, I don't know how they'll function without Tom Wishart."
Mr Wishart lost his parents at a young age and his funeral is expected to be held late next week.
