Border basketball mainstay Tenille Collins hit the final shot with seconds to spare, with the league MVP picking up the same honour for her efforts in the grand final.
Collins, who racked up her 200th SEABL game last season and will go around again this year, said getting the win was a great feeling.
“Seven years running we've been in the grand final and the second time we've won, we're pretty happy,” she said.
“We made a few changes at practice during the week, came out, did our thing and it happened to work.
“It's really good to see the young girls coming through, a few of them had backed up after playing all day in the junior tournament so it was a great effort on their part.”
And of that final, satisfying three?
“I hit it and I was happy, that's all there is to it,” she said.
