Fire crews broke in through the front door of Town and Country Flooring about 8.30pm to save the bulk of the building.
Manager Matthew Tucker said the business had served the Border community for more than 20 years and would continue to do so thanks to the actions of firefighters.
“We are very appreciative to the firies – 30 seconds to a minute more, they wouldn’t have been able to save the building at all,” he said.
“They entered a dangerous situation to save our whole office and showroom.
“The back is quite replaceable, but you can’t replace the showroom.”
The warehouse suffered significant damage to the manufacturing area, but Mr Tucker said work had already begun to clean up the debris.
He spent most of Sunday ordering new stock so customers would experience the smallest delay possible.
“Once we knew everyone was accounted for I was OK - you can always order more stock,” Mr Tucker said.
“We knew from the moment the office was still there we'd be able to contact customers and still had the records of what we needed.
They got in there and entered a dangerous situation to save our whole office and showroom.

“Now it’s just hard work we need to put in, it won’t stop us from doing anything.”
The business, on the corner of Wigg and Osburn streets, is without power but will take phone calls from customers as of Monday morning.
A staff member will also man the site for any customers who wished to visit and ask questions.
It is expected to re-open it's doors from the middle to the end of the week.
An arson squad from Melbourne joined Wodonga detectives and CFA fire investigators at the scene on Sunday.
Wodonga detective Graeme Simpfendorfer said the fire was deemed not suspicious, however an investigation was ongoing to determine the cause.
“When it gets too hot, it will just flash and all the smoke then turns into live fire and anything it touches it burns,” Detective Sergeant Simpfendorfer said.
“If it had've done that, we would have been looking at a completely different outcome.”
Fire crews from Wodonga, Wodonga West, Baranduda and NSW all joined the fight.
