He didn’t get out to his brother, James.
“I only faced the one over from him – it was a bit different,” Weighell, who has made 501 runs at 55.67 for the season, said.
“I’ve faced him a lot in training back home but never in a match situation.
“The only positive was that he didn’t get me out.”
The pair will resume hostilities on Saturday when the Bushies aim to chase down the Bulldogs’ 189 at Les Cheesley Oval.
Andrew was expecting “a bit of banter in good spirit” on Saturday because “there wasn’t really time for it” on the opening day.
“We’ll have to bowl well to defend it but we’ve got the bowlers to do it,” he said.
The brothers will return to Stokesley, where Andrew is captain, once the Cricket Albury-Wodonga finals series is complete.
