Following the co-ordinated display of flares and detonators during last Saturday's match against Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium, the Wanderers have been hit with a $50,000 fine and three-point deduction that has been suspended pending more bad behaviour.

Responding to a widely criticised Facebook post by the RBB, where they claimed the incident in Melbourne was overblown by the media, Tsatsimas made it clear the club would no longer tolerate their antics.

"There is no negotiation here, we're done," he told the Big Sports Breakfast on Friday morning. "If it comes to that [banning the RBB] it's an extreme measure, but if it comes to that we need to explore that. We need to consider all options and nothing is off the table.

"I have no qualms in saying this: we'll do it. Enough is enough. The Wanderers have had enough, Australian football has had enough and the Australian sporting landscape has had enough."

Speaking at Wanderers training in Blacktown on Friday, coach Tony Popovic made his feelings clear that he wanted passion and not pyrotechnics in the stands when they face Wellington Phoenix at Pirtek Stadium on Sunday.

"We need everyone to understand that flares are not allowed. It won't be tolerated, as shown, and it's illegal. Apart from that, come and support us on Sunday," he said. "We want them there, we want them in big numbers, we want them loud and proud of their team and we want to get the focus back on the great game that we play and the great run that we're on. We want to be proud of that and support that."

The coach and his players have been left relatively powerless by the sanctions, with the fans the only ones who can stop the three-point deduction from being enacted.

"We're disappointed with the ruling but we have to accept it so there's nothing we can do about it now, we can only move forward," he said. "I don't know that it's put our premiership aspirations in jeopardy, but I think it affects everyone within the club and certainly the playing group. But if they're our real fans, they'll all learn from this as well and we'll move forward, learn from it and we won't see it again."

Popovic said the bond between the club and the fans was something he hoped could be maintained, albeit without the illegal elements.

"We have a special bond with our fans. We're a club with a short existence. It's only our fourth season and what we've built is phenomenal. It's been fantastic for the league and fantastic for our club. That bond won't change and, with our fans, that will only get stronger," he said. "If people aren't our fans then they shouldn't come to our games. If people want to throw flares, it's illegal, and they shouldn't come to the games.

"If they want to support our team with a passion that we've seen, home and away, please come, because we love seeing you there and I certainly love seeing them there from the sidelines."

In response to the public outcry concerning their actions in Melbourne, members of the RBB convened at Club Marconi on Wednesday night. However, in a subsequent statement released the following day, it appeared the group was reluctant to take responsibility for what happened.

"Many opinions were heard from members in attendance on this issue. It was concluded that the RBB does not encourage anyone to participate in any prohibited activity, and those who have, have done so at their own risk," the statement read. "The consequences are known to all. The RBB supports the notion of personal choice as per our representation at the Senate hearing late last year."

The group also suggested that the $50,000 fine issued to the Wanderers should be spent on charities in their own area.

"We propose that the FFA donate this amount in full to various charities in Western Sydney,"  it said. "We would be happy to suggest some worthy charities to whom this money would be of greater benefit, as opposed to it being a bonus for the FFA."

The actions of the past week are likely to result in beefed up security at this Sunday's match and a vastly increased police presence for next week's Sydney Derby at Allianz Stadium.
