Organised by Border teenagers, the wellbeing and mental health festival will be held on Saturday in QEII Square.
Year 12 students from Albury High School, Xavier High School, The Scots School Albury and Trinity College have organised the program to raise awareness about youth mental illness.
Committee spokesperson Antonia Stefanou said the students had pooled their energy and ideas to build a fun program for the public.
“Heaps of students have come on board to be involved with WellFest,” she said.
WellFest will showcase information from organisations such as Headspace and Youth Emergency Services (YES) and offer activities such as yoga, drum beat and massages.
Music will come from Owen Rabbit (Triple J Unearthed), The Northern Folk, My Brothers Friends and Harry and Shannon.
Melbourne-based Owen Rabbit answered the students’ call for music acts for the event.
Beyond Blue ambassador and television sports presenter Brad McEwan will speak about his family’s experience with mental illness at 11.55am.
Locals Stuart Baker will speak from 11.15am and Albury High School student Milla Reid from 1.55pm.
Any money raised on the day will be donated to YES.
Food stalls will operate at the festival.
WellFest runs from 11am until 3pm.
