Mr Martin, known as “Marto” by his friends, died in a head-on crash with another truck near Deniliquin on Thursday morning.
Police said he had died on arrival at Deniliquin Hospital after the crash, which occurred on the Riverina Highway about 2.40am.
Mr Martin was well known and respected in the trucking industry.
His father is also a Border truck driver.
Large numbers of friends and work colleagues have been changing their Facebook photographs in honour of the 27-year-old.
A post calling for truck drivers to run their lights all day on Tuesday has been shared more than 3100 times with many planning to pay tribute to Mr Martin.
Tributes continue to flow for Mr Martin, who is being remembered as a dedicated worker with a passion for trucks.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
